If you know me long enough, you get to know that I am a huge Alice Cooper fan and have been since I was 14 years old.
I even skived off work one day to queue up to meet him at a Virgin Records Store signing he was doing in Oxford Street when I was 19 years old. He was a pussycat!
When I had the opportunity to visit Hollywood Boulevard, my first stop was to see his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
I love his music, love his values and he’s an all round nice guy, even if he says “No More Mister Nice Guy.”
In my teenage years growing up in London, everyone went to London on tour so I was always going to concert. My main haunts were Hammersmith Odeon when it was still going and the old Marquee Club when it was in Wardour Street. It’s the one big thing I miss about the UK – the concerts.
I’ve seen a lot of the greats. My one regret not seeing? Queen with Freddie Mercury. 🙁
Oh yes, and I got to see Alice Cooper in Singapore in a small Hard Rock cafe gig. I was front and centre! A massive change from his normal stadium gigs I’d seen before.
